We’ll start the day with a leisurely alfresco breakfast before heading out on the first excursion of the holiday. We’ll be making our way to the spectacular fortress town of Alhama de Granada. Perched atop a deep ravine and boasting spectacular views of the Sierra de Tejeda, the town is famous for its thermal waters and fascinating history. On your accessible guided tour of the town, you’ll learn all about the role Alhama played in the Reconquista, when the Catholic rulers expelled the region’s Moorish leaders, and how it suffered tremendously in the great earthquake of 1884. Don’t forget your camera because the town’s about as photogenic as it gets!

Day 4 - Flamenco Show in Malaga

< >
Andalucía is home to one of Spain’s most iconic art forms - flamenco! Today, after a relaxed morning at the hotel, we’ll be making our way to Malaga to enjoy an authentic flamenco show. A beautiful, coastal city that boasts a lively bar and restaurant scene, as well as plenty of world-class galleries and museums, Malaga has gifted the world some of the all-time great flamenco performers, ensuring it’s the perfect place to experience this spirited dance for the first time. After a couple of pre-show cocktails, we’ll take our seats and settle in for a true Spanish spectacle. We’ve chosen a show that’s highly regarded for its authenticity and passionate performers, so you’re sure to experience that electrifying, hairs-on-end sensation that the Spanish refer to as ‘duende.’
