We know check-in and boarding can be a nervous experience for some travellers, so Limitless assists with every aspect. Day 2 At Sea
Celebrity Cruises Apex

Exploring the Apex
Your first day at sea is all about exploring the ship and settling in. Typically, the Limitless Team meets with everyone in the morning to catch up over breakfast, make sure you had a comfortable night, discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short of company.

During days at sea, there’s plenty to see and do on the Apex. As a group, Limitless Travellers often enjoy a relaxed morning, followed by a group lunch and some afternoon fun - be it a theatre show or a movie. Then it’s time to get dressed up for a delicious dinner, followed by some fantastic evening entertainment. Of course, how you spend your day is entirely up to you! But it’s good to know that the Limitless Team and your fellow travellers are always around too.

Day 3 Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen, Denmark landscape image
Port Visit

The Danish capital is arguably one of the coolest cities in Northern Europe and epitomises the energy, creativity and cultural wealth found in many of Scandinavia’s biggest cities. For Limitless Travellers, it’s a wonderfully accessible city with plenty of recognisable landmarks, pretty pedestrianised streets, and gorgeous canals and waterfront promenade.

Whether you head straight for the famous Little Mermaid statue by the Langelinie Pier or relax in a canal-side cafe with a hot drink, it’s impossible not to fall in love with the city’s laidback charm. The Nyhavn Canal District is home to much of the capital’s historic architecture and is a joy to explore, while Strøget Shopping Street is Europe’s longest pedestrianised street and a great place to pick up souvenirs.

Day 4 Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen, Denmark
Port Visit

With a second day in the Danish capital, you can choose to stay aboard the ship and enjoy the excellent amenities, or head back into the city for further adventures. If you do, we highly recommend checking out the world-famous Tivoli Gardens. The second-oldest amusement park in the world, it’s a wooded wonderland with colourful lights, beautiful plantlife, accessible paths throughout, and several disabled-friendly attractions to enjoy. It’s just a few moments from the central train station, too.

Of course, you can also head back to any of your favourite areas and landmarks from yesterday’s excursion. Or simply relax by the water in one of Copenhagen’s comfy cafes and soak up the hygge - that uniquely Danish sense of cosy contentment and enjoyment of quieter pleasures.

Day 5 At Sea

Onboard Entertainment

Equipped with a 20ft 4k wrap-around LED screen that’s regularly integrated into shows and performances, The Theater is the Apex’s flagship entertainment venue and boasts one of the most modern designs you’ll find anywhere on the water. From multi-sensory spectacles to Broadway-style shows, it’s home to an enormously diverse range of entertainment.

The Apex also boasts The Club - a multi-use venue with a great dance floor that hosts everything from gaming competitions to DJ performances and smaller productions. The Caravan venue offers a unique twist on the classic circus variety show, while Eden is a spectacular nature-inspired space that hosts themed nights throughout your holiday. Finally, there’s always something happening on the open-air Resort Deck, too.

Day 6 Helsinki, Finland
Helsinki Finland landscape image of small boats
Port Visit

With one of the highest standards of urban living in the world, Helsinki has a lot going for it. An environmental pioneer, a design paradise, and an incredibly friendly city, the Finnish capital is a unique proposition. Ravaged by fire and rebuilt to resemble neoclassical St. Petersburg, the city lacks the medieval charm of neighbouring capitals. However, this modern outlook has allowed for some of the most progressive and exciting design and architecture in Europe.

Your two-hour Limitless walking tour will see you visit the vibrant stalls at the Old Market Hall, the epic and iconic Helsinki Cathedral, the harbourside Kauppatori markets, and the gorgeous green-topped Orthodox Uspenski Cathedral. After, there’s the accessible SkyWheel Helsinki nearby, or the ever-popular Helsinki Zoo.

Day 7 Tallinn, Estonia
Tallinn, Estonia landscape image of the town
Port Visit

Tallinn, Estonia’s compact medieval capital, is packed with history, graceful church spires, and an undeniable charm. Blending Nordic, Germanic and Russian influences into a wonderfully unique and thoroughly individual culture, the city has retained its historic feel despite rapid Westernisation following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The two-hour Limitless accessible walking itinerary avoids the city’s less accessible cobbled streets and begins in the Rotermann Quarter, a redeveloped warehouse district that exemplifies Tallinn’s mixing of old and new. Then, it’s through the Old Town’s Viru Gate to the colourful merchant homes of the cafe-lined Town Hall Square. From here, you can head to the accessible Estonian History Museum or the artisan workshops on St Catherine’s Passage.

Day 8 Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm sweden landscape image
Port Visit

Arguably one of the most elegant and attractive capitals on the continent, Stockholm more than lives up to the locals' claim that it is “beauty on water.” Spread across 14 islands, it is the largest city in Scandinavia and one of the region’s true cultural heavyweights.

To help you get the most from your visit, the Limitless Group often follows an accessible two-hour walking itinerary. It includes many of the city’s most iconic attractions, including Kungsträdgården Park, the Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral, Gamla Stan Old Town and the spectacular Strömkajen promenade. Independent of the group, you could also visit the excellent ABBA Museum, see the city from the water on a boat tour, or head to the accessible Vasa Museum, home to a wonderfully preserved 17th-century warship.

Day 9 Visby, Sweden
Visby sweden, pretty street view with flowers
Port Visit

Located on the sensationally beautiful island of Gotland, UNESCO-designated Visby is a fairytale medieval city that often leaves visitors feeling they’ve stepped back in time. With its exquisitely preserved city walls and quaint streets, it offers a relaxed and romantic insight into life on the Baltic’s largest island.

As the cobbled streets of the old town can be difficult to navigate, Limitless has created an accessible walking itinerary that passes the limestone city walls, then visits the verdant Almedalen Park, the striking St. Mary’s Cathedral and the delightful Botanical Gardens, before returning to the ship via the cafe-lined promenade. If you want to head deeper into the cobbled old town, the Gotland Museum’s Viking history exhibits are a great alternative to the walking tour.

Day 10 At Sea
Celebrity Cruises Apex food aboard
Restaurants & Bars

With 29 distinct restaurant and bar options, the Apex is extraordinarily well-equipped for those who enjoy fantastic food and a refreshing beverage. The four main dining rooms - the Cosmopolitan, Normandie, Cyprus and Tuscan restaurants - are supplemented by complimentary dining options like the poolside Mast Grill and market-place inspired Oceanview Café.

There’s also a host of speciality dining options available, ranging from the upscale Fine Cut Steakhouse experience to the spectacular seafood of Raw on 5. When it comes to bars, there’s plenty to choose between, too. The Martini Bar benefits from a spectacular location below the Grand Plaza’s striking LED chandelier, while Café Al Bacio is ideal for coffee aficionados and the Craft Social Bar offers a cosy, casual vibe.

Day 11 Skagen, Denmark
Skagen denmark, Landscape shot
Port Visit

Denmark’s northernmost town, Skagen is situated where the Baltic and North Sea meet and boasts some of the county’s most breathtaking beaches. Small, cozy and renowned for its evening light, the town attracted a group of influential impressionist artists at the end of the 19th century, and its reputation has only grown since.

On your visit, we’ll head straight for the pedestrianised town square, where there’s an abundance of accessible cafes and boutiques. The Skagens Museum is the best place to get a feel for the work of the town’s famous artists and houses work by Anna and Michael Ancher, P.S. Krøyer, and others. It’s also possible to visit the Anchers Hus museum in Anna and Michael’s historic home. Finally, the harbourfront offers a chance to indulge in delicious local seafood.

Day 12 At Sea

Sailing Home

By now, you will have spent a few days exploring the Celebrity Apex and enjoying the facilities, activities and entertainment. But we guarantee there are still things you’re yet to see, do or find. Have you visited the onboard photography centre? Booked in for the Le Petit Chef® experience? Booked in for a massage treatment at the fantastic spa and wellness centre?

As we make our way back to Southampton, this is a great opportunity to check out those parts of the Apex you’re yet to see or return to your favourite spots. Or just relax in total comfort and reminisce about the places you’ve seen over the course of your holiday. Have a chat with your Tour Manager in the morning and organise the perfect final day.

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?

Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.

You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.

We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.

On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.

Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.

What is Limitless Group Support & Holiday Assistance?

Group Support & Holiday Assistance is included as standard with all Limitless holidays. It's what sets us apart from every other UK holiday provider!

They range from our Morning, Evening & Occasional Daytime Care package for travellers who require intermittent assistance with personal care to our One-to-One Care With Hoisting package for travellers who would benefit from comprehensive, all-day care.

We always recommend getting touch with your Personal Travel Advisor to discuss care packages. They are always on hand to answer questions, provide information, and make recommendations about the package they think is most suitable for you. You can contact Limitless on 0800 711 7112.

In addition to this, our care team will also reach out to you three months before your holiday to confirm you have everything you need to travel with complete confidence.

What are anchor ports and is Limitless responsible for port changes?

At Limitless Travel, we carefully select cruise itineraries with minimal anchor ports. Anchor ports are those destinations where port logistics mean a small boat or ‘tender’ transport is required to ferry guests to shore. In the vast majority of cases, these tenders are not accessible and some Limitless Travellers will not be able to leave the ship.

Unfortunately, port changes can happen due to any number of reasons while at sea. Limitless Travel cannot be held accountable for any such port changes.

Which side of the ship is best for fjords?

On our Norwegian fjord cruises, both sides of the ship typically guarantee spectacular views of the fjords. However, selecting the “best” side of the ship often depends on the itinerary specifics.

Generally, the starboard (right-hand) side might be slightly better if you’re cruising north and the port (left-hand) side if you’re heading south. In both instances, this is because that side of the ship will spend more time facing the coastline.

Modern cruise ships are designed to maximize visibility and the open decks and public viewing areas guarantee everyone has access to striking 360-degree vistas. On Limitless Norwegian Fjords Cruises, there are always plenty of opportunities to use these facilities.

Is the sea rough in the Norwegian fjords?

The waters in the Norwegian fjords are generally much calmer than the open sea, thanks to the fjords' narrow and sheltered characteristics. This makes Norwegian fjord cruises an excellent choice for those concerned about sea sickness.

The cruise ship will be out on the open sea when travelling to, from and between fjords. Here, rougher seas are possible but entirely dependent on the weather, conditions, and season. Modern cruise ships are well-equipped with stabilisers to counteract rougher seas and minimise the motion you feel, ensuring a comfortable onboard experience.
