6-Day Accessible Holiday Itinerary

After travelling and settling in on Day One, your holiday begins with a visit to Bournemouth’s excellent Oceanarium, followed by time to enjoy the seafront, town centre and gardens. Next, you’ll head to Swanage for a nostalgic steam train journey through the Dorset countryside, before crossing the Solent by ferry for a scenic day on the Isle of Wight. There will also be time to relax and enjoy Bournemouth at a gentler pace, before a visit to Beaulieu Motor Museum in the beautiful New Forest rounds off the holiday.

Itinerary

Day 1 Travel to Bournemouth
Bournemouth

We’ll meet you at one of our designated UK pick-up points, help you board our accessible coach and ensure you’re comfortable for the journey. All our coaches benefit from hydraulic lift or ramp access, and wheelchairs can be safely secured in place, so there’s no need to transfer to a standard seat. Similarly, all our drivers have experience working with Limitless Travellers and understand and respect individual access needs.

On arrival, the Limitless Team will help you check in. Then, you’ll have time to relax, unwind and explore your accessible room, before enjoying a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant. Your Tour Manager will round out the evening with a little entertainment for those not quite ready to hit the hay.

Day 2 Bournemouth Oceanarium & Seafront

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll make the short journey to Bournemouth Oceanarium. Vetted for accessibility by our own team, the oceanarium is home to a fascinating variety of marine wildlife, including turtles, penguins, sharks, stingrays and dwarf crocodiles. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy its underwater tunnel and feeding sessions throughout the day.

In the afternoon, there will be plenty of time to enjoy Bournemouth at a relaxed pace. You may wish to explore the seafront, stroll along the promenade, visit the pier, or spend time in the town centre. The beautiful public gardens are also well worth a visit, offering a peaceful spot to enjoy Bournemouth’s coastal charm.

Day 3 Swanage & Heritage Steam Railway

Today, we’ll make our way to the traditional seaside town of Swanage, set along the beautiful Isle of Purbeck coastline. Known for its classic seaside charm, scenic surroundings and fascinating local history, Swanage is a lovely place to enjoy at a relaxed pace.

From here, we’ll board the Swanage Heritage Railway for a nostalgic steam train journey through the Dorset countryside. As the train travels along its historic route, you’ll enjoy views across the Isle of Purbeck, with stops including Corfe Castle, Harman’s Cross and Norden.

After our time on the railway, we’ll rejoin the coach for a scenic drive back towards Bournemouth, where a delicious three-course evening meal awaits at the hotel.

Day 4 Isle of Wight Ferry & Scenic Island Drive

Today, we’ll board the accessible coach and make our way to the ferry terminal for the short crossing to the Isle of Wight. With its sweeping coastline, dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches and laid-back island atmosphere, it’s a beautiful destination for a relaxed day of exploring.

After arriving on the island, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive through some of the Isle of Wight’s most picturesque surroundings, taking in beautiful coastal views along the way. Following a leisurely lunch, we’ll head towards the famous Needles, one of the island’s most iconic landmarks, where there will be photo opportunities while your Limitless Tour Manager provides commentary.

Later in the day, we’ll return to the ferry before travelling back to the hotel, where dinner will be waiting after a memorable day on the island.

Day 5 Beaulieu Motor Museum & New Forest Scenery

Today, we’ll make our way into the beautiful New Forest, where ponies, donkeys and Highland cattle can often be seen roaming freely across the open landscape. Our destination is Beaulieu, a picturesque village with a fascinating history and one of the area’s most popular attractions.

During our visit, we’ll explore the renowned Beaulieu Motor Museum, home to an impressive collection of cars, motorbikes and motoring memorabilia from across the years. From classic vehicles and vintage garage displays to racing history and famous cars, there’s plenty to discover as you enjoy the museum at a relaxed pace.

After our time at Beaulieu, we’ll return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 6 Breakfast & Travel Home
Accessible coach

Today, your Bournemouth & Isle of Wight Tour comes to an end. After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll board the accessible coach and depart for our various UK drop-off locations. Relax, reminisce with your fellow Limitless Travellers and take in the views. We’ll ensure you’re comfortable for the return journey and look forward to seeing you on your next Limitless holiday!
