Day 2 Gloucester Cathedral
Gloucester Cathedral

Tucked between the Severn and the Cotswolds, Gloucester is rich with Roman and medieval history. Its most famous attraction remains its towering cathedral, which traces its origins back to the 7th century. With its spectacular fan-vaulted cloisters and awe-inspiring stained-glass windows, it remains one of the finest pieces of medieval architecture in the UK.

As well as playing home to the tomb of Edward II, arguably England’s least capable monarch, it was also used as a filming location in the Harry Potter movies, where its stately corridors became Hogwarts’ magical hallways. Following our visit to the cathedral, we’ll enjoy an afternoon in Gloucester city centre – a great opportunity to pick up a few holiday souvenirs!

Day 3 Cotswolds Wildlife Park & Village Tour
Cotswolds Wildlife Park

Today, we’ll travel to the heart of the picture-perfect Cotswolds to visit the brilliant Wildlife Park & Gardens. Covering 160 acres, the park is home to an astounding array of species. With more than 130 bird species, as well as giraffes, camels, lions, zebras, wolves, rhinos, anacondas and red pandas, the Wildlife Park is the ideal destination for animal lovers.

Later in the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the Cotswolds and one of its most famous villages, Bourton-on-the-Water. Known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds”, it features an idyllic river, quaint bridges and gorgeous honey-stone architecture. It epitomises the chocolate box villages the Cotswolds is famed for, and is a wonderful finale to a fun-filled day.

Day 4 Abergavenny & Butterfly Centre
Butterfly

Today, we visit the Tropical Butterfly Centre, where you will have the chance to see every stage of the butterfly’s lifecycle, from egg through caterpillars and chrysalises to the animal’s striking final transformation. The Butterfly Centre is a wonderful riot of colour and spectacular patterning, and you’re sure to leave with a new appreciation for these beautiful creatures.

Following the Butterfly Centre, we cross the border into Wales and head for the historic market town of Abergavenny. Perched on the southeastern edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and overlooked by the beautiful Black Mountains, the town is known as the Gateway to Wales. There, we will enjoy a traditional Welsh cream tea and visit Abergavenny’s vibrant market, where you can pick up souvenirs, check out the stalls and soak up the town’s relaxed atmosphere.

Day 5 Breakfast & Travel Home

General FAQs

How do I book a UK coach holiday?

The first step in the booking process is speaking to a Limitless Travel Advisor on 0800 711 7112. While many Limitless Travellers contact us knowing exactly which coach holiday they want to book, many also call us for advice. We often help our travellers pick out the perfect holiday based on their needs and interests. So don’t hesitate to get in touch, even if you’re not sure which holiday to book yet.

When you’re ready to book, you’ll pay a deposit to confirm your place. The remainder of the balance is payable closer to the departure date. Flexible payment plans are available, allowing you to spread the cost of your holiday.

You will also discuss your holiday and needs with your Personal Travel Advisor to ensure you have the best possible care package and everything has been considered. Finally, the Limitless Care Team will contact you three months before departure to confirm you have all you need, are happy with arrangements, and are ready for your Limitless holiday.
