Your fantastic Cotswolds, Bath and the South West holiday begins! After boarding our accessible coach at one of the UK pick-up points, we’ll make our way to the Wye Valley. Travellers in wheelchairs can choose to remain in their chair, which will be safely secured into place throughout the journey, or transfer to a standard seat.
On arrival at the hotel, which boasts more than 50 years of experience providing disabled specialist accommodation, the Limitless Team will help you check-in and get your bags to your room. There will be a little time to settle in and make yourself comfortable, then a home-cooked, three-course dinner will be served! After, it’s time for some excellent evening entertainment.
Today, we’ll make the most of your first, full day on holiday by visiting a local butterfly zoo. Nestled in the beautiful Wye Valley, it’s home to a remarkable number of species, including exotic, tropical butterflies and species indigenous to the local area. The zoo actively supports sustainable butterfly farming around the world, helping to ensure this beautiful creature does not become extinct.
At the end of our colourful butterfly adventure, we’ll head back to the hotel for a leisurely Sunday Roast. In the afternoon, you’ll have a chance to take a stroll into the bustling market town of Ross-on-Wye or head down to relax by the river. Come evening, we’ll all dig into a buffet supper and enjoy another round of cracking evening entertainment.
On Day Three, we’ll be travelling to Bath to visit the Roman Baths Museum and spend a little time exploring the city. The baths after which the city is named were established just under 2,000 years ago and, despite briefly falling into disrepair, have been wonderfully restored and preserved. The tour benefits from an interesting, interactive and engaging audio guide.
After the tour, we will head to the Pump Room Restaurant for some lunch, before taking a wander around Bath to see the sights and fit in some souvenir shopping. If you’d prefer to pamper yourself, we can also arrange a visit to a naturally heated thermal spa. Fully accessible, this open-air spa boasts fantastic views of the city.
Today, we’ll board the coach and enjoy the short drive over to the Forest of Dean. There, a traditional steam train awaits you. It will take us through ancient woodland, past local villages and across spectacular forested landscapes, allowing you to better see the outstanding natural beauty of the Wye Valley region. Just to ensure you travel in true style, you’ll also be served a tasty afternoon tea while onboard
Today, we’ll be exploring the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds and paying a visit to the area’s most famous honey-stone town, Bourton on the Water. Often referred to as the Venice of the Cotswolds, the town boasts a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere, a beautiful riverside location and plenty of local shops and cafes to discover.
In Bourton, we’ll also head over to the highly regarded Motor Museum, which is home to hundreds of vintage cars and an enormous collection of automobile memorabilia. The Limitless team will then treat you to a tasty cream tea with scones, clotted cream and locally made jams. Afterwards, it’s time for a leisurely drive back to the hotel through several pretty Cotswolds villages.
