5-Day Accessible Holiday Itinerary

Arriving on Christmas Eve, you’ll have the afternoon and evening to settle into your hand-picked accessible hotel. Christmas Day will be spent together at the hotel, before we travel to Torquay on Boxing Day to explore the English Riviera’s most iconic town and enjoy a traditional cream tea. On Day Four, we make our way to Paignton for a stroll down the pier and a truly extraordinary steam train adventure, and travel home on Day Five.

Day 1 Travel to Plymouth

We’ll meet you at one of our designated UK pick-up points, help you board our accessible coach and ensure you’re comfortable for the journey. All our coaches benefit from hydraulic lift or ramp access, and wheelchairs can be safely secured in place, so there’s no need to transfer to a standard seat. Similarly, all our drivers have experience working with Limitless Travellers and understand and respect individual access needs.

On arrival, the Limitless Team will help you check in. Then, you’ll have time to relax, unwind and explore your accessible room, before enjoying a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant. Your Tour Manager will round out the evening with a little entertainment for those not quite ready to hit the hay.

Day 2 Christmas Day Celebrations
Christmas day in Blackpool

Merry Christmas! What better way to celebrate the big day than in the company of friends, fellow Limitless Travellers, and our festive carers? After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head out for a little walk to prepare for a fantastic lunch. Your classic Christmas Dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant, where we’ll sit down together to have a giggle and ensure much merriment is made.

Later, Father Christmas himself will pay us a visit, delivering presents and spreading Christmas spirit as he does. Then it’s time for Christmas games and maybe a Christmas movie, too. Limitless Travellers tend to love our Christmas Day festivities. With a real sense of companionship, camaraderie and celebration, sharing this special occasion is always a pleasure and privilege.

Day 3 Torquay & Cream Tea
Christmas trip

Boxing Day is here, and that means we’ll all be recovering from the excesses of our rather enjoyable Christmas celebrations. We can’t think of a better way to do so than with a visit to the beautiful seaside town of Torquay. Let that sea breeze blow away all the cobwebs! Situated at the heart of the English Riviera, the town boasts a vibrant harbour and marina, as well as the sweeping Torre Abbey Sands beach.

On our visit, we’ll have a few hours to explore the town before we head to The Grand Hotel, an iconic Victorian building with a commanding seafront location above Corbyn Beach, for a classic cream tea. It doesn’t get much more authentically Devon than scones, jam and cream - just remember to spread the cream before the jam. We’re not in Cornwall!

Day 4 Paignton & Festive Steam Train

On your final full day of festive fun, we’ll make our way to the classic seaside resort of Paignton. The town’s historic harbour is home to a variety of restaurants and cafes, while its long stretch of sandy beach runs all the way to Paignton’s famous pier. We’ll make sure we have time to stroll down the pier’s wooden boards, checking out the arcades and amusements as we go.

Later in the afternoon, we’ll head to Paignton train station for one of the most visually spectacular Christmas adventures in the UK. There, we’ll board the Christmas Train of Lights - a traditional steam train complete with vintage carriages decorated with thousands of bright lights. Running to Dartmouth and back, through an enchanted forest with its own light displays, this is a truly memorable festive experience.

Day 5 Breakfast & Travel Home

Today, your Christmas in Devon Tour comes to an end. After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll board the accessible coach and depart for our various UK drop-off locations. How do I book a UK coach holiday?

The first step in the booking process is speaking to a Limitless Travel Advisor on 0800 711 7112. While many Limitless Travellers contact us knowing exactly which coach holiday they want to book, many also call us for advice. We often help our travellers pick out the perfect holiday based on their needs and interests. So don’t hesitate to get in touch, even if you’re not sure which holiday to book yet.

When you’re ready to book, you’ll pay a deposit to confirm your place. The remainder of the balance is payable closer to the departure date. Flexible payment plans are available, allowing you to spread the cost of your holiday.

You will also discuss your holiday and needs with your Personal Travel Advisor to ensure you have the best possible care package and everything has been considered. Finally, the Limitless Care Team will contact you three months before departure to confirm you have all you need, are happy with arrangements, and are ready for your Limitless holiday.

Where are your coach holiday pick-up points?

We operate 45 unique pick-up locations across the UK, including major cities such as Birmingham, London, Bristol and Manchester. So there’s a very good chance we have one close to you.

Not every pick-up location is available on every tour. With this in mind, if you’re interested in a particular coach holiday, we recommend contacting a Limitless Travel Advisor to confirm your nearest departure point. You can reach the limitless team on 0800 711 7112.

On arrival at your preferred pick-up location, keep an eye out for the Limitless Team. We’ll be wearing dark blue Limitless-branded tops and always make sure we’re easy to find. The team will help you store your luggage in the coach and assist with boarding.

What kind of accessible coach transport will I travel on?

We use the same transport provider for all our coach holidays, so we can guarantee a consistent experience and ensure Limitless Travellers’ needs are always met. Our accessible coaches are purpose-built specialist vehicles and all equipped with Hidral Gobel or PLS lifts rated to 300 kg. All drivers have been trained in their use by the coach company’s certified lift technicians.

Yes, Limitless helps arrange the rental of equipment for your holiday. We’re always able to source common accessibility equipment, such as shower chairs, mobility scooters, hoists, shower commodes, profile beds, stand aids, and manual and electric wheelchairs. We may also be able to arrange the hire of more specialist equipment, though this is dependent on availability. Limitless Travel partners with trusted UK and international equipment suppliers, and all equipment is checked, tested and sanitised at the holiday accommodation before use.
