With its rural charm, quaint village greens and spectacular, rolling hills, the Cotswolds is one of the UK’s most beautiful stretches of countryside. On your English Explorer Grand Tour, you’ll spend the first half of your holiday exploring this enchanting part of the country before travelling north to the bright lights and bustling proms of Blackpool. Famed for its happy-go-lucky attitude and beach holiday heritage, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some traditional seaside fun.
As well as ensuring you have plenty of free time to explore Blackpool and the Cotswolds, we’ve also organised several exciting excursions. Your holiday begins with a day trip to the Welsh market town of Abergavenny, where we’ll treat you to a traditional cream tea. Over the following days, we’ll visit Weston-super-Mare to enjoy the beach, prom and pier and Bourton-on-the-Water to discover one of the Cotswolds’ most beloved villages. Along the way, there will also be tours of Bourton’s Motor Museum and Weston’s Museum of Memories.
Halfway through the holiday, we’ll make the journey to Blackpool, stopping at the luscious Trentham Gardens along the way. After a day exploring the town’s top attractions, including the Tower and the Pier, we’ll finish off your holiday with a journey into the Lake District. There, you’ll board an accessible boat to cruise the placid waters of Lake Windermere, then wander the streets of charming Bowness.

Travel and Settling In
After checking-in at your beautiful, disabled friendly hotel, you’ll have a little time to explore your surroundings before enjoying a delicious three-course meal. There will also be some excellent evening entertainment, hosted by your tour manager.
Abergavenny & Welsh Cream Tea
While we’re there, we’ll soak up the atmosphere, browse the shops and pick up a few souvenirs, then we’ll treat you to a traditional cream tea in a local café. Towards the end of the day, we’ll make our way back to the hotel, where a fantastic three-course meal and evening entertainment awaits.
Western-super-Mare Seaside Trip
As well as enjoying the promenade, pier and beach, you’ll visit the Museum of Memories, where you’ll be transported back in time by the nostalgic displays of old children’s toys, TV shows and treats. We’ll also stop at one of the west’s most popular fish and chip shops to enjoy a classic seaside feast!
Bourton-on-the-Water and Motor Museum
The Motor Museum contains hundreds of classic cars and vehicles, some of which date back to the early 1900s. The exhibition will take you on a journey from the first motorised transport right through to the modern-day, offering a fascinating insight into how motor vehicles have changed and the impact they’ve had on wider society. Later in the afternoon, we’ll head back to the hotel for another excellent meal and evening entertainment.
Trentham Gardens and Blackpool
Once we’re all back aboard the coach, we’ll continue on our way to Blackpool. Having checked in at the hotel, we’ll make the most of its central location and visit the nearby North Western Prom. A wander down the seafront is the perfect way to build an appetite, which we’ll satiate with the evening’s brilliant three-course meal. Of course, there’ll be a little entertainment to enjoy, too.
Blackpool Tower and the Promenade
There’ll be plenty of time to explore the town, grab a refreshing ice cream and pick up some holiday mementoes and, as usual, the Limitless Team will be there to offer support and assistance every step of the way.
Lake District Accessible Cruise
Afterwards, we’ll wander into Bowness, one of several quaint towns that line the lake’s shores. A bustling Lakeland town that’s home to a diverse array of shops and cafés, as well as the Windermere Steamboat Museum, it’s the perfect place to spend your last afternoon in the North West. Towards the evening, we’ll head back to the hotel for our final dinner and another night of enjoyable entertainment.
