Summertime In London

Embark on a seamless journey as you board our accessible coach from one of our UK pick-up points, setting the stage for an unforgettable holiday in the English capital. Wheelchair users have the flexibility to stay in their chair, securely fastened in place, or opt for a transfer to a standard seat. Our hotel in Windsor, just outside London, ensures a comfortable and convenient stay, from which many adventures into the capital will begin over the coming days.

For your first full day on holiday, we’ll be taking an exclusive tour of Tower Bridge with a private guide. Constructed over eight years and officially completed in 1894, the bridge has become one of London’s most iconic landmarks and a popular tourist hotspot. 

However, few people get to experience Tower Bridge’s spectacular glass floor, imposing coal-fired engines and ornate interiors, so you’re in for a real treat! After some lunch we'll be heading back on the coach for a sight-seeing tour of London's greatest hit - camera at the ready.

We will conclude our sight seeing day in London by taking you on the London Eye to see London's skyline with a view

After a fantastic breakfast in the hotel, we will board our accessible transport and head into Windsor to visit Royal Windsor Castle.

At the castle, you will enjoy a tour of the State Apartment, which tells the story of the British monarchy’s fascinating history. Today, the State Apartments are still used by the Crown on important state and ceremonial occasions. Windsor Castle is also home to the famous St George’s Chapel, where many of the country’s previous kings and queens were laid to rest. The royal tombs include Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour, as well as Charles I. 

During the excursion, there will be a chance to stop for a lunchtime refreshment. The castle is situated in the town centre of Windsor and allows for easy access to cafes and restaurants. At the end of the day, we’ll once again board the accessible coach to tuck into an excellent dinner back at the hotel.

Today we will head over on the accessible coach to Kew Gardens, a botanical paradise nestled in the heart of London, where nature's beauty unfolds in breathtaking displays of flora from around the globe. A visit to Kew Gardens promises an enchanting journey through 300 acres of meticulously curated landscapes, historic buildings, and verdant glasshouses.

As you enter Kew Gardens, you are greeted by the iconic Palm House, a stunning Victorian glasshouse that houses a tropical rainforest within its elegant wrought-iron structure. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of exotic blooms, and the vibrant colors of orchids, ferns, and towering palms transport you to distant, lush ecosystems.

Wander through the Royal Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover a diverse collection of plants, trees, and flowers. The iconic Temperate House, the largest Victorian glasshouse in the world, showcases plants from the world's temperate regions, creating a harmonious blend of horticultural wonders.
