Discover one of Europe’s top beach destinations, explore the south coast’s most spectacular stretch of countryside and enjoy the simian shenanigans at Monkey World on our amazing, disabled-friendly Limitless Weymouth tour. One of the south coast’s best-kept secrets, Weymouth is a beautiful beachfront town that’s situated a little west of Bournemouth. One of the first modern tourist resorts, Weymouth was King George III’s preferred holiday destination and attracted vast numbers of visitors thanks to the supposedly rejuvenating qualities of the water in Weymouth Bay. Today, Weymouth is far more laid back than nearby Bournemouth and its position at the centre of the Jurassic Coast and close to the Isle of Purbeck means many visit as much for the gorgeous landscapes and countryside as they do for the beach and sea. On your disabled friendly Weymouth tour, you’ll spend time taking it easy on Weymouth’s phenomenal sandy beach, as well as exploring the fantastic promenade and maybe even heading down to the vibrant harbour for a bite of lunch. You’ll also spend a day in sunny Swanage, where the grandeur of the Jurassic Coast cliffs meets a quaint seaside town with spades of history. There, you’ll board an accessible steam train for a memorable journey through the breathtaking Purbecks. On the third day of your trip, you’ll visit Monkey World. Home to more than 250 apes, this exciting wildlife park acts as a rehabilitation centre for a considerable number of animals who were victims of illegal smuggling. Your wheelchair accessible accommodation in nearby Bournemouth has been hand-picked by the Limitless Team for its superb location and excellent disabled facilities. A Limitless Travel representative accompanies our tour groups throughout all of our disabled holidays, providing assistance whenever required and ensuring you receive the support you need.

After preparing for the day ahead with a hearty hotel breakfast, we will spend the day at Weymouth’s award-winning and wonderfully sandy beach. Located at the heart of the Jurassic Coast, Weymouth boasts a beautiful Georgian promenade and a bustling harbourfront that’s just a few minutes’ stroll from the beach.
As well as enjoying a fully accessible day at the beach, you’ll have the chance to visit Sandworld, a unique sand sculpture park that’s home to a remarkable array of intricate artworks. From designs based on popular movies, such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Avatar, to wildlife and historical scenes, Sandworld’s incredible sculptures are sure to amaze. After a busy day, we’ll finish up with a traditional fish and chip supper, then head back to the hotel.
Following another cracking breakfast at the hotel, Day Three sees us making the short journey to Swanage. A picturesque seaside town that’s situated on the eastern edge of the Purbecks, Swanage is surrounded by spectacular countryside and boasts a wide range of quaint shops and cafes.
After spending the morning exploring the town and wandering along the Victorian promenade, we’ll stop for a bite to eat. In the afternoon, we’ll board a fully accessible steam train for a stunning journey across the Isle of Purbeck. In the evening, we’ll gather in the hotel restaurant for another fantastic meal.
Today, we’ll board our accessible coach and travel to the ape-tastic Monkey World. Home to more than 250 primates, the sanctuary is set out over 65 acres and is a brilliant way to get up close and personal with your favourite monkeys, chimps and apes. Monkey World works together with governments around the world to prevent the illegal smuggling of apes and offer rescued primates a safe and secure rehabilitation space.
As we move around the park, you’ll enjoy informative talks from Monkey World’s expert keepers and learn what makes these fascinating animals so special. The park also features cafes, gift shops and gardens, so you can stop for a tea and cake or grab a few holiday souvenirs whenever the fancy takes you. At the end of the day, we’ll head back to the hotel for our final dinner together.
Today, your accessible Weymouth tour comes to an end. After a hearty breakfast, our accessible coach will depart the hotel for our various UK drop-off locations. Relax, take in the views of the south coast through the window and enjoy a little commentary from your Tour Manager. Now, all that’s left to do is say farewell to new friends and plan your next Limitless adventure!
