Itinerary

Day 1 Fly to Tenerife with Limitless Support
Santa Cruz in Tenerife Landscape Image
Tenerife

Your holiday begins at your UK airport, where you’ll meet the Limitless Team and your fellow guests at the special assistance desk.

The Limitless Team will accompany you through the airport, working alongside the airport’s special assistance team, providing additional support and advocating on your behalf. We’re with you every step of the way – as you pass through security, head to the departure gate, board the aircraft, and during the flight.

As you touch down in Tenerife, you’ll get your first taste of the island’s wonderful climate. Gone are the grey skies – here it’s year-round sun, palm-lined promenades and beautiful beaches.

On arrival, we’ll support you through the airport and onto our private accessible transfer, which will be waiting to take you to Mar y Sol Hotel. After helping you check in and settle comfortably into your room, we’ll come together for our first evening meal. It’s a chance to get to know the group, relax after the journey and enjoy the excitement of your first evening on holiday.

If you would like to know more about flights, the airport experience or airport special assistance, take a look at our FAQs.

Day 2 Accessible Swimming & Poolside Relaxation
Customers & staff in Tenerife hotel pool

Your first full day in Tenerife is an opportunity to unwind, take it easy and enjoy that wonderfully relaxed holiday feeling.

Hotel Mar y Sol features two hoist-equipped swimming pools, so you have a comfortable and inclusive means of entering the water. The Limitless Team is always on hand to provide practical assistance and encouragement, ensuring everyone who wants to swim has a chance to do so.

Whether you need help changing, getting to the pool, entering and leaving the water, or support while swimming, we’ll work to meet your individual needs. There’s no pressure to swim either. If you prefer to relax poolside with a book or start on that tan, you’re welcome to do so. It’s a gentle, uplifting day that you can spend however you please.

Day 3 Exploring UNESCO La Laguna with Limitless Support
La Laguna

When people think of Tenerife, they tend to think of golden beaches and coastal resorts. But the island boasts a beautiful interior, too. And it doesn’t get much more beautiful than the island’s original capital, La Laguna.

Involving a short journey inland, this fantastic excursion is a chance to experience a more traditional Tenerife, where colonial architecture and colourful buildings line bustling streets, and everything happens at an even gentler pace.

La Laguna was the first unfortified colonial settlement in history, and the first to implement the grid system that would define Spanish colonial expansion in the Americas. It pioneered a city layout replicated everywhere from Lima in Peru to Havana in Cuba, and was granted UNESCO World Heritage status on that basis. It’s the perfect place to explore authentic Tenerife, sampling pastries from the delicious family-run bakeries, stopping for a café con leche in a shady square, or visiting the island’s only cathedral. It’s one of Tenerife’s true hidden gems!

Day 4 A Thrilling Flamenco Show
Flamenco

As we are heading to an authentic flamenco performance in the evening, today is a chance to relax, unwind and enjoy the hotel facilities. Alternatively, why not head into Los Cristianos for a morning coffee overlooking the sea?

With spine-tingling singing, lightning-fast guitar work and unique Iberian rhythms, Flamenco is one of Spain’s most iconic art forms. Originating in Andalusia, it blends Arabic, Spanish, and Gitano influences and encompasses song, dance, footwork, and complex clapping patterns. The result is a unique musical system with a strong sense of tradition and a raw emotional punch.

The Canary Islands boast a strong flamenco tradition, with plenty of mainland Spain’s biggest names travelling to Tenerife’s famous venues. To experience this magical art, we’ll head to the island’s most authentic flamenco show for a thrilling performance. By the end, we expect you to know your alegrías from your bulerías and to have mastered those quick-fire flamenco clapping rhythms!

Day 5 Explore Santa Cruz & MUNA with Limitless Support
Santa Cruz, Tenerife

We continue exploring Tenerife’s cultural highlights with a visit to the Museo de Naturaleza y Arquelología (Nature & Archaeology Museum). Based in a former civil hospital, a spectacular neo-classical building in the heart of Tenerife’s biggest city, MUNA hosts brilliant exhibitions on the island’s natural environments and ecosystems. It also boasts a remarkable collection detailing the history of the Guanches – Tenerife’s aboriginal pre-European people.

In the afternoon, we will have time to explore Santa Cruz de Tenerife – the Canary Islands’ joint capital. With its historic squares, modern architecture, famous beaches and bustling markets, the city is a vibrant but relaxed destination with a compact centre. This makes it ideal for a spot of lunch and a little gentle sightseeing after our morning in the museum.

The Limitless Team will be with you throughout the day to help you navigate Santa Cruz de Tenerife and provide support, should you need it.

Day 6 Relax, Recharge and Take It Easy
Tenerife Pool

Our Tenerife holidays are as much about rest and relaxation as they are about exploring the island. We want you to return home recharged, having had time to unwind and enjoy the sun, sea and accessible swimming pools. With that in mind, there’s nothing booked in for today, and it is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You may wish to spend the day sunbathing at the hotel, taking advantage of the accessible facilities, or engrossed in a good book.

For those who would like to head out, there’s the option to visit a nearby accessible beach or do some souvenir shopping in the local area. The Limitless Team can help you plan your day, so speak to your tour manager in advance. They can make bookings, provide accessibility information, and ensure you receive the support you need.

Day 7 A Guided Tour of Local Vineyard
Vineyard

The Canary Islands are famed for their wines, with the fertile volcanic soil making for a truly unique taste and a celebrated “terroir”. Tenerife is no exception. So today we will board our accessible transport and enjoy a short drive to a local vineyard.

Over a 90-minute guided tour, we’ll learn about the history of Canarian winemaking and sample its sensational produce. The building has been adapted to ensure accessibility, so we can explore both the traditional and modern wineries, and our guide will talk us through the vineyard’s architecture, family history, ancient manufacturing methods, and recent innovations.

Following the end of the tour, you will have the chance to relax with a glass of your favourite wine and enjoy the spectacular surroundings. It’s a gently paced day that offers incredible insights into the island’s culture, traditions, and local produce, and a great way to end the holiday.

Day 8 Return Home with Limitless Support
Limitless customers in Tenerife

After breakfast, we’ll help you prepare for the journey home and make sure you and your mobility equipment are ready for departure.

Our accessible transfer will take the group back to Tenerife Airport, where the Limitless Team will accompany guests travelling on the designated group flight. We’ll work alongside the airport’s special assistance team and provide support as you make your way through the airport and board the flight home.

You may be leaving Tenerife behind, but you’ll return with far more than a suntan. You’ll have new experiences, friendships and memories to see you through the rest of winter.

Flights FAQs

Are flights included in the cost of a Limitless short-haul holiday?

No, flights are not included in the cost of your Limitless short-haul holiday. However, we do provide extensive booking support, and your Limitless Personal Travel Advisor is always available to provide information and assist with any matter relating to travel and flights.

How do I book flights for Limitless holidays?

Having booked your Limitless short-haul holiday, we’ll send out flight details approximately three months before the departure date. You are then responsible for booking flights, though assistance and support are always available from your Personal Travel Advisor. You can choose to fly on a different flight to the Limitless Team and your fellow Limitless Travellers, but we will not be able to provide support at the airport or during the flight in this case. We will still arrange an accessible transfer to the hotel for you if you fly independently.

What airports do Limitless fly from and how do I get there?

For short-haul holidays, we aim to have two flight teams – one flying from a London airport and the other flying from an airport further north, typically Birmingham or Manchester. This gives Limitless Travellers greater choice and reduces travel time to and from the airport. The specific airports we use depend on destination, cost, flight availability and departure time. Where possible, we opt for a mid-day flight for your convenience.

Does Limitless liaise with the airport to organise special assistance?

Limitless Travellers are responsible for contacting and organising the special assistance team at the airport. The airport’s special assistance team will help you with check-in, security and boarding, and we recommend using their services if possible. Though the special assistance team will manage most of your airport experience, the Limitless Team will also be on hand to accompany you, provide support and advocate on your behalf.

How do the Limitless Team provide support at the airport and while flying?

The Limitless Team will usually meet you at the airport's special assistance desk, collect and handle luggage, and provide any support necessary. If required, we can schedule regular check-ins during the flight. Our team is highly experienced and regularly accompanies Limitless Travellers on international flights. As such, we're able to make sure your journey is smooth and comfortable, and you feel confident travelling. For Limitless short-haul holidays, we guarantee we'll be there to help whenever you need us.

If you opt for the One-to-One Care package, your carer will meet you at the designated airport and provide dedicated support throughout the airport, flight, transfer and holiday.

How do we transfer from the destination airport to the hotel?

We've arranged accessible transport for the drive from your destination airport to the hotel, so you don't have to worry about transfers at all. We use transfer vehicles that have been vetted to ensure accessibility and are equipped with a ramp or hydraulic lift.
