Holiday Overview

One of the most picturesque parts of the UK, Norfolk has it all. Long stretches of sandy beach, winding rivers and large lakes, one of the most diverse ecosystems in the country and a charming provincial capital in the form of Norwich. With its fascinating Angle, Viking and Norman history, the region is a pleasure to explore, while its famously flat, rural landscapes are breathtakingly beautiful.

On your disabled friendly Norfolk Broads holiday, we’ll take you to some of the area’s most popular attractions. You’ll tour the 900-year-old Norwich Cathedral, and then enjoy a cream tea in Great Yarmouth, spend a fully accessible day on the water and have the opportunity to try your hand at motorboating, sailing and canoeing.

On your final day, we’ll visit the Royal Family’s Sandringham Estate, an expansive tract of land that’s home to the King’s beloved Sandringham House. We’ll start the day with an energising breakfast and then head over to Great Yarmouth for the morning. This quaint coastal town is a short drive from Norfolk. After a wander along the prom we will treat you to a cream tea. In the afternoon we will head over to Norwich Cathedral. More than 900-years-old and one of the city’s 12 iconic heritage buildings, it retains many original features that can be dated back to the Norman era.

A Day on the Water

Today, we’ll be taking to the water, so make sure you bring your captain’s hat! We’ll drive out to a lake in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. There, you’ll be able to head out onto the water on a motorised boat and try your hand at canoeing and sailing, too. We’ll even enjoy lunch on a floating pontoon!

All of the activities are fully accessible, so this is a fantastic opportunity to try your hand at a few watersports. It’s also a great way to experience the beauty of the Norfolk countryside. When we’re all back on dry land, we’ll board the coach and head back to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

With sprawling 20,000-acre grounds, several halls and cottages, and a spectacularly grand main building, there’s plenty to tour and you’ll enjoy a fascinating insight into the history of the royal family.

You’ll also have the chance to buy some locally sourced Norfolk specialities from the on-site shop and enjoy a few refreshments in the Sandringham café. On our way back to the hotel in the evening, we’ll take a little bit of a detour, allowing us to follow a wonderfully scenic route along the coastline.
