After meeting at one of our designated UK pick-up points, we’ll begin the journey to Liverpool. Our disabled friendly coaches feature lift and ramp access and wheelchairs can be secured in place, so there’s no need to transfer to a standard seat. After checking-in at your fully accessible hotel, you’ll have a little time to settle in, then we'll enjoy a delicious three-course meal.
Renowned for its contributions to the arts, defined by its maritime history and celebrated as the greatest city in the world by its loyal residents, Liverpool is one of the country’s most enjoyable holiday destinations. Whether you’re visiting because you’re an avid Beatles fan or simply because you love this wonderful corner of the northwest, our accessible Liverpool tour features all the city’s highlights, as well as a day out at the seaside town of Southport.
The Beatles are Liverpool’s most famous sons and, despite their international fame, are still strongly associated with the city. This means there’s plenty for fans of the Fab Four to see and do while visiting Liverpool. We’ll be taking you to the award-winning The Beatles Story, where you’ll discover the band’s history, and we’ll also tour the Cavern Club, where the group got their first big break.
It’s not all about the Beatles though. We’ll be showing you some of Liverpool’s other top attractions, too. An accessible cruise on the River Mersey will give you a fascinating perspective on the city’s architectural history, while a visit to the dockyards lets you understand the central role the maritime industries played in the city’s development. We’ll also be day-tripping to Southport, one of the region’s best-loved coastal towns and home to the UK’s oldest iron pier.

Having started the day with an energising cooked breakfast, we’ll make our way to an award-winning Beatles exhibition - The Beatles Story. A fantastic stop for anyone who loves the Fab Four’s timeless music, The Beatles Story is an immersive experience that details the band’s rise to fame and recreates several key Beatles locations, including Abbey Road Studios and the Cavern Club.
After lunch at the exhibition, we’ll head to Liverpool Dockyards, where you’ll discover the defining role the dock and shipyards played in the city’s development. As well as spectacular views of the River Mersey and a wealth of historical architecture, you’ll enjoy a fascinating insight into the area’s maritime industries.
On Day Three of your holiday, we’ll visit one of the northwest’s most popular seaside towns, Southport. Home to the UK’s oldest iron pier, luscious tree-lined boulevards, rolling sand dunes and excellent beaches, the town is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy traditional seaside treats. As well as enjoying plenty of time to explore the area at your own pace, we’ll also be taking you to a fantastic café that overlooks the coast, where we’ll indulge in a well-earned cream tea.
Today, we’ll be boarding a fully accessible boat for a fantastic cruise down the River Mersey. The historic heart of the city, the river offers a unique perspective on the city, allowing you to experience some of Liverpool’s biggest landmarks and historical sights from the water.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Cavern Club for a guided tour of the venue that gave the Beatles their big break. The band performed at the Cavern Club hundreds of times over a relatively short period and the venue would go down in legend as the birthplace of Beatlemania. A specialist guide will accompany us on our visit, letting you in on the group’s stage secrets and recounting anecdotes, stories and background context to further enhance the experience.
Today, your accessible Liverpool and Southport Tour comes to an end. After a hearty breakfast, our accessible coach will depart the hotel for our various UK drop-off locations. Relax, take in the views through the window and enjoy a little commentary from your Tour Manager. Now, all that’s left to do is say farewell to new friends and plan your next Limitless adventure!
