Travel and Settling In
We’ll be making our way to the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and our base for the next few days. When we arrive at your three-star hotel, our team will help you check-in and get your bags to your room. Then there’s a little time to relax, settle in and enjoy the hotel’s spectacular views before indulging in a delicious dinner.
Abergavenny and Brecon Beacons
Later, we’ll head to the Brecon Beacons - one of Wales’ most beautiful National Parks. As well as enjoying the region’s dramatic landscapes, we’ll visit the park’s Visitor Centre, where you can relax with a coffee and discover more about this picture-perfect stretch of countryside. We’ll then return to the hotel for dinner and an evening of entertainment in the hotel lounge.
A Day at Barry Island
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Wartime Museum. Located in Barry Island Railway Station, the exhibition commemorates the local area’s role in the Second World War and contains a diverse array of items from the conflict. Afterwards, we’ll head back to the hotel for another three-course delight and some cracking entertainment.
Cardiff Castle & Royal Mint
In the afternoon we’ll board an accessible coach for a tour of the Welsh capital, Cardiff. A vibrant and modern city that boasts both historic landmarks and a wonderfully modern waterfront area, we’ll be guided around some of Cardiff’s biggest attractions, while also hearing a little about its gripping past.
