The Itinerary

Day 1 - Travel & Settling In

On landing in Crete, you’ll be met at the airport arrival hall by our trusted transfer partner. They’ll help you board the accessible transfer vehicle for the journey to your hotel, where the Limitless Team will be waiting for you. Travellers in a wheelchair can have their chair safely secured in place on the vehicle, so there’s no need to transfer to a standard seat. Upon arrival at the hotel, we’ll help you check-in and get your bags to your room, then there’ll be time to settle in and explore your accommodation before dinner is served.

Day 2 - Get to Know your Hotel

The first full day of your holiday is all about getting to know your hotel, relaxing and making the most of its superb facilities. With an accessible heated pool, spa treatments and an on-site bar, you’ll be able to ease yourself into the holiday with a day spent treating yourself and soaking up the fabulous Cretan weather.

Day 3 - Explore Maleme

On Day Three of your holiday, why not take the opportunity to take a look around the charming village of Maleme? As well as many fascinating attractions, including several Orthodox churches and historic WWII sites, the village is home to a diverse array of shops, tavernas and bars. For those who prefer topping up their tan to sightseeing, there’s also the sandy shores of Maleme beach.

Day 4 - Agii Apostoli Accessible Beach Excursion

Today, we’ll be heading to Agii Apostoli beach, which has recently been revamped to ensure it’s wheelchair accessible. Beach wheelchairs are available for use if you fancy taking a dip in the beautiful Mediterranean waters, while extensive wooden decking has been laid across sections of the beach if you’d rather stay out of the sand. The town attached to the beach boasts excellent tourist infrastructure, so you’ll be able to take a break from the sun in one of the many beachfront cantinas or grab a bite to eat in a local restaurant. A paved promenade also runs along much of the top of the beach, allowing you to take an afternoon wander if you fancy a change of scenery.

Day 5 - Discover Cretan Food and Wine

Crete is famous for its delicious island cuisine and is a popular destination amongst travellers who appreciate sensational food and spectacular wines. Influenced by the abundance of mountain herbs, a wealth of seafood and delicious fresh cheeses, Cretan meals are an experience in themselves! To get a taste for the fresh, healthy Mediterranean diet, you can choose to spend Day Five of your holiday visiting a working olive mill and winery, as well as a nearby microbrewery that serves up fantastic local beers. A great way to get a feel for life on the island, you’ll come away with a better understanding of how and why food plays such an important role in Cretan culture.

Day 6 - Excursion to Chania

On Day Six of your disabled friendly Crete holiday, there’s an optional excursion to the historic city of Chania. Situated on the north side of the island, not too far from the hotel, this ancient city has been influenced by many of the region’s great empires, with fine examples of Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman architecture spread throughout its streets. With its beautiful Venetian harbour and atmospheric, labyrinth lanes, it’s the ideal place to kick back with a cocktail and watch the world go by. Alternatively, you could indulge in some retail therapy and take a look around the city’s remarkable range of trendy boutiques, traditional leather goods stalls and souvenir shops.

Day 7 - Relax and Unwind

Today is all about relaxing beneath the wonderful Cretan sun and enjoying the final moments on your island paradise. If you want to really unwind and enjoy a little luxury, why not treat yourself to a dip in the hotel jacuzzi, which is fitted with a lift for improved accessibility. Day 8 - Until Next Time

Today, your disabled friendly Crete holiday comes to an end. We’ll be transferring to the airport in the same accessible vehicles used for your arrival and we’ll also ensure that you receive all the support and assistance you need to travel home. Now, all that’s left to do is say farewell to new friends and plan your next Limitless adventure!

Half board: breakfast and evening meals are included in the price of your holiday. Look forward to fresh and delicious meals to both begin and round off the day. Meal selection will vary depending on where you’re staying. For breakfast you can expect either table service or a buffet style, with complimentary teas, coffees and juices included. In the evening you’ll be served dinner for every night of your stay. Please note, evening meals are not included for any fly-to tours labelled as ‘Bed and Breakfast’.
