We’ll unload your luggage, help you check in and support you through the terminal, ensuring everything is taken care of from the moment you arrive. Your first day at sea gives you time to settle into life aboard Queen Elizabeth and begin discovering everything the ship has to offer.

The Limitless Team will organise opportunities for the group to spend time together throughout the day. You might share breakfast overlooking the ocean, meet for coffee, team up for the quiz, or enjoy the onboard entertainment together.

How involved you want to be is entirely up to you. You can spend the whole day with the group, dip in and out of activities, join everyone for breakfast or dinner, or enjoy Queen Elizabeth completely independently. Whatever you choose, the Limitless Team will be nearby whenever you need assistance, company or help making arrangements. Your Tour Manager can also help you understand the daily programme, make dining arrangements and find your way around the ship.

Queen Elizabeth is one of smallest and most intimate ships in the Cunard fleet, and is renowned for its traditional Art Deco interiors. Travelling as part of a friendly group makes the holiday feel reassuringly personal, and is a fantastic way to experience all the elegance of Cunard cruising.

A Coruña brings together Galician history, coastal scenery and a largely pedestrianised city centre filled with shops, cafés and restaurants. A little way down the coast, the famous Torre de Hércules lighthouse stands proud, welcoming the ship and Limitless Travellers into port.

Your Tour Manager will lead an optional accessible experience through the heart of the city. You’ll discover María Pita Square, the Church of Santiago and the lively Calle Real while learning more about A Coruña’s culture and history.

We’ll finish by stopping at one of the city’s cafés, where the Limitless Team will treat the group to delicious churros. Afterwards, you can continue exploring independently, enjoy some local food or return to the ship for a relaxing afternoon.

Today, we arrive in Gijón, on Spain's northern coast. Once the Asturian region’s industrial hub, Gijón has been transformed over the decades and is now an energetic seaside city famous for its excellent food, great beaches and cultural attractions. As many of the city centre streets are now pedestrianised, it’s also a joy to explore.

After an accessible shuttle into the heart of the city, your Limitless Tour Manager will lead an optional guided city experience through the old town. You’ll explore the city’s lively plazas, discover its Roman roots at the ancient baths, and visit the San Pedro Church, a striking landmark right on the edge of the coast.

The city experience concludes with a stroll or roll along the San Lorenzo Promenade, with its sweeping views of the bay. With local bars and cafes along the way, make sure you stop to sample the local tapas and quench your thirst with a glass of Asturias’ legendary cider.

Explore Santander with Limitless Support

Welcome to Santander, the capital of Northern Spain’s Cantabria region! Stretching along a spectacular bay, the city is famous for its delicious seafood, striking beaches and excellent shopping. Known as the Bride of the Sea because of its historic connection to the Bay of Biscay, Santander was a popular summer retreat for Spanish royalty, who adored the cooler temperatures and fresh sea breeze.

For Limitless Travellers, the Cathedral of Santander is one of the city’s biggest attractions. Featuring imposing Gothic architecture, it benefits from ramped access and is largely accessible throughout. Close by, the Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology of Cantabria (MUPAC) explores the region’s deep past and makes for a fascinating visit.

With the Queen Elizabeth carrying you towards your next destination, today is a fantastic opportunity to explore the ship's fantastic entertainment.

The Queen Elizabeth’s exquisite venues hark back to the golden age of cruising. The 800-seat Royal Theatre is finished in majestic blue and hosts unforgettable West End shows, hair-raising musical talents, and fascinating guest speakers. The ever-popular Queen’s Room features a glamorous ballroom space and surrounding seating, from which you can enjoy nightly live music and dances.

The Commodore Club’s panoramic ocean views and intimate atmosphere make for the ideal environment in which to enjoy live piano, while the Golden Lion offers a more relaxed, pub-themed space where you can dance the night away to great singers and bands. Of course, you’ll also find live performers in the Grand Lobby, setting the mood for the night ahead.

Your Tour Manager is there to help you explore the daily programme, make bookings and organise opportunities for the group to enjoy shows and events together. You can join as much or as little as you like, with the freedom to spend the day entirely at your own pace.

Day 7 Cherbourg, France

Today, we dock in Cherbourg, one of Normandy’s most important port cities and the second-largest artificial harbour in the world. From the Norman invasion through the Hundred Years’ War to the D-Day landings, it has been key to Anglo-Franco relations and played a pivitol role in European history for over a millennium.

On departing the ship, your Limitless Tour Manager will lead an optional city experience through Cherbourg. Along the way, you will see the remains of WWII harbour defences, and visit the marina and the town square. You’ll also have the chance to visit La Cité de la Mer, a stylish Art Deco museum housing a nuclear submarine and a fascinating exhibit on the Titanic.

We'll also stop at a traditional cafe so the Limitless Team can treat you to a round of delicious crêpes. Whether you prefer sweet or savoury, it's a classic French snack, and your Cherbourg experience wouldn't be complete without one! If you would like to explore the city at your own pace, the town centre and marina are home to many local shops and plenty of places to sample traditional French cuisine.

After breakfast, the Limitless Team will help with your luggage and support you throughout disembarkation. Your accessible transfer provider will be waiting at the cruise terminal to take you home comfortably and drop you at your front door.

Our accessible taxi transfers guarantee a stress-free start to your holiday. A door-to-door service, it ensures getting to and from the cruise terminal is easier than ever by using ramp-accessible vehicles with plenty of room for luggage and mobility equipment.

For journeys of 125 miles or less, this service is included in the price of your holiday. Additional fees may apply for longer transfers or those travelling from Yorkshire, North East England, or Wales.

FAQs

What’s included in a Cunard accessible cabin?

Accessible cabins are available on request. However, they are limited and places sell out quickly. Accessible Outside, Balcony & Mini-Suite Cabins may also be available, though prices will vary. Every accessible cabin features:

  • Wide access doors

  • Space for mobility scooters to be stored

  • Showers with wide door access, pull-down chairs and grip handles

  • Air conditioning

  • Satellite TV with movie and music channels

  • Tea and coffee-making facilities

An equipment hire service is available and includes powered wheelchairs and hoists.

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?

Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.

You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.

We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.

On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.

Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.

What is Limitless Group Support & Holiday Assistance?

This level of support is suitable for those who do not require physical support, but may need a helping hand to make the most of their holiday experience. We provide this assistance in a group setting, so you must be able to support yourself if you intend to leave the group at any point.

What can Limitless do if I require additional care and support?

What are anchor ports and is Limitless responsible for port changes?

At Limitless Travel, we carefully select cruise itineraries with minimal anchor ports. Anchor ports are those destinations where port logistics mean a small boat or ‘tender’ transport is required to ferry guests to shore. In the vast majority of cases, these tenders are not accessible and some Limitless Travellers will not be able to leave the ship.

Unfortunately, port changes can happen due to any number of reasons while at sea. Limitless Travel cannot be held accountable for any such port changes.
