Bienvenidos a España! The fascinating town of Vigo is your next port of call. A historic maritime settlement that boasts some beautiful neoclassical architecture, Vigo is also home to Europe’s largest fishing fleet. Why not enjoy an A la Carte lunch and then with the terminal being only 1km away from the towns square, there’s plenty to see and do into the early evening.

Alicante

Today we stop in the Catalan capital, Barcelona. One of the most iconic cities in Europe and an essential destination for architecture, art and food-lovers, there’s nothing quite like strolling through the Barri Gòtic and stopping at one of the many outstanding bars for a spot of tapas or a cooling sangria.

If you’re a bit of a culture vulture, there are plenty of opportunities to check out work by Dalí, Gaudí Miró and Picasso, so make sure you plan your visit ahead of time to make the most of your visit!

Valencia

Day 9 - Valencia, Spain

The beautiful city of Valencia is your next port of call! A fascinating city that offers a heady blend of the old and the new, Valencia is one of the most exciting destinations in Spain. Home of paella and brilliant cultural and artistic spaces (make sure you check out the futuristic science and art museums), it’s a wonderful city to explore and offers some of the best dining experiences in the country.

The city centre is quite a distance from the port, so if you're interested in a day tour, speak to a Limitless advisor. Group care support will be available during the day to assist with disembarking the ship and getting around the harbour or city.

Enjoy breakfast in the sunshine or a gentle potter around the port, discovering why Cadiz is loved by all who visit.

Cádiz is an ancient port city and the home of the Spanish Navy, the port boomed in the16th-century as a base for exploration and trade. It has more than 100 watchtowers, including the iconic Torre Tavira.

Porto

FAQ's

How far is Gibraltar Centre from the cruise port?

The cruise port's close location to Gibraltar's centre, just 1km away, is an inviting aspect for tourists. This proximity means that within a short walk, visitors can find themselves in the heart of Gibraltar, ready to explore its many attractions.

The ease of access is a significant advantage, allowing for a seamless transition from ship to shore, where one can enjoy the local cuisine, visit historical sites, and perhaps even interact with the famous Barbary macaques, Europe's only wild monkey population. This ease of exploration makes Gibraltar an attractive destination for those looking to experience a mix of cultural and natural attractions without the need for extensive travel upon docking.

Where do cruise ships dock in Valencia?

Cruise ships dock at the main Valencia Cruise Port. This port is known for its modern facilities and is situated a few kilometres away from the city centre. Valencia itself is a city that beautifully marries the old with the new; its historic Gothic and Baroque monuments stand in contrast to futuristic architectural marvels like the City of Arts and Sciences.

For cruise passengers interested in exploring Valencia's rich tapestry of culture, architecture, and gastronomy, arranging a day tour through the cruise's advisory services is recommended.

Is Valencia worth seeing?

Absolutely! This city is a treasure trove of experiences, from its culinary delights, including the world-renowned paella, to its bustling markets and serene beaches.

Valencia's old town, with its winding alleyways and historic buildings, tells the story of centuries, while the futuristic designs of the City of Arts and Sciences point to a forward-thinking spirit. The blend of historical heritage and modern innovation, coupled with the city's warm climate and welcoming atmosphere, makes Valencia a compelling destination for any traveller.

Whether one is drawn to the arts, science, history, or simply the joy of exploring new culinary landscapes, Valencia offers a rich and varied palette of experiences that are sure to enrich any visitor's journey.
