Your incredible, accessible skiing holiday begins. We’ll meet you at one of our designated pick-up points, where you’ll board our luxury, disabled-friendly coach. Equipped with beds, reclining seats, accessible toilet facilities, a kitchen and a wet room, our fantastic coach guarantees a supremely comfortable journey.
Once all of our Limitless travellers are aboard, we’ll make our way to the Eurotunnel and cross the Channel to France. From Calais, we’ll continue on to Austria, passing through Brussels, Aachen, Frankfurt and Munich during the night.
On Day Two, you’ll likely wake up as we reach the historic German city of Munich. We’ll serve your breakfast onboard the coach and by 11 am we will arrive at your fully accessible Austrian hotel.
You’ll be staying in four-star accommodation that’s equipped to meet all the needs of disabled travellers. The spacious bedrooms are equipped with roll-in showers and the hotel’s public spaces are all disabled-friendly. The hotel also boasts easy access to the local village and benefits from an on-site accessible pool that all guests can make the most of.
Today, we'll enjoy a hot buffet breakfast and then hit the slopes. Our group will split into two smaller groups, ensuring everyone gets a good amount of time with the professional ski instructors. The first group will ski in the morning, with the second group heading out in the afternoon.
When it’s your turn to get your ski gear on, we’ll board the disabled-friendly minibus and drive to the bottom of the slopes. You can approach the session in several different ways, so you can tailor the difficulty of the activity to your needs and level of confidence. If you’re unable to stand up to ski, there’s a unique “sit-ski” available. This is somewhat similar to a toboggan and allows you to enjoy the slopes with the assistance and guidance of an accompanying ski instructor.
After preparing for the day ahead with a hearty breakfast, we’ll once again break into two groups. The first group will make their way to the slopes for some more fun on the snow and the second group will have time to relax, explore the hotel or wander into the local village.
The groups will meet for lunch and then switch over, allowing the second group to enjoy their session on the snow. While you’re not skiing, there’s plenty to keep you busy. The heated pool is always an option, while the sauna and steam room are the perfect way to relax and unwind after all the excitement of skiing.
In the evening, we’ll get together for a delicious dinner, followed by quizzes and group fun that’s organised and delivered by the Limitless Team.
It’s Day Five and you should be getting the hang of this skiing thing by now! Today, we’ll head back to the slopes so you can continue to learn and improve. The ski instructors will be on-hand to provide you with advice throughout the session, ensuring you’re able to push on and grow in confidence.
If you’re on the sit-ski, this might be the day when you take full control of the steering (if you haven’t already). Taking the reins is a liberating feeling and you’ll also benefit from knowing that the ski instructor is always just behind you, offering support and ready to step in should you require any assistance.
The penultimate day of skiing, this is your chance to try out new techniques and make the most of the instructors’ expertise. Though you may be entirely engrossed in the skiing, don’t forget to soak up the staggeringly beautiful Austrian landscapes and enjoy your time on the snow. It’s not every day that you find yourself halfway up a snowy mountain!
Today is your final day on the slopes. By now, you will have been skiing for four days straight and your abilities will have advanced a considerable amount. To reflect this achievement and celebrate your completing the accessible ski programme, we’ll be holding an awards ceremony, where everyone will receive a special Limitless Award. Of course, you’ll also have your last day of skiing to enjoy, so make sure you prepare for your time on the snow with an energising breakfast!
You’ll also have plenty of time to head back into the local village and enjoy all the amenities there. Alternatively, you may wish to relax and enjoy your final hours in Austria by refreshing body and soul in the hotel’s pool, spa and sauna.
On Day Eight, we’ll pack up our suitcases after a lovely, cooked breakfast, board the coach and begin to make our way back through Europe. As we pass through Germany, we’ll make regular stops and enjoy hot meals on the coach. Once again, we’ll drive through the night and should reach Calais by morning.
Today, your accessible Australian Skiing Tour comes to an end. After boarding the EuroTunnel train and crossing the Channel, our accessible coach will head for our various UK drop-off locations. Now, all that’s left to do is say farewell to new friends and plan your next Limitless adventure!
