Whether you’re looking for a sun-soaked getaway or you want to learn a little more about Spain and Portugal’s west coast, our disabled friendly cruise is the perfect opportunity to experience some of Iberia’s holiday hotspots. Departing from Southampton, you’ll travel south aboard P&O’s world-class Ventura cruise ship, enjoying all of the onboard facilities as you go.
Your first stop will be Santander located on the North coast of Spain home to its many warm sandy beaches. Next you will sail on to Leixoes, just a few kilometres north of Porto. There, you can choose to explore the town’s bustling cafes and shopping district or join a P&O tour of Porto. Following this you'll sail on to Lisbon, Portugal’s enthralling capital. Staggeringly beautiful, undeniably charming and one of the trendiest cities in Europe, you’re sure to fall in love with this colourful metropolis. Before heading to Vigo, a historic Galician town with a deep connection to the ocean. Home to Europe’s largest fishing fleet and, naturally, some of the best seafood in Spain, it’s a paradise for tapas lovers and boasts an impressive array of top-notch restaurants. The cruise finally concludes in St Peters Port in Guernsey when you can marvel at this historic Roman port set in the channel islands.
Throughout your trip, you’ll be accompanied by the Limitless Team, who will provide care, support and assistance as and when you require it. At Southampton’s cruise terminal our team we'll be waiting to help you board P&O's world-class Ventura cruise ship. The Ventura is designed to offer all the features and facilities of a classic cruise liner but with a more intimate feel. You’ll benefit from Priority Boarding, so you’ll be exploring the ship before you know it!
Today there will be plenty of time to get to know the ship as we head towards the Iberian Peninsula. Take in the spectacular sea views as we go and make the most of the ship’s impressive facilities. Whether you want to catch a film at the cinema, book yourself in for a Broadway-style show, relax by the pool or sing your heart out at karaoke, the Ventura boasts everything you need for a fantastically entertaining day at sea.
Santander is the capital city of Cantabria, located on the Northern coast of Spain, nestled between the Bay of Santander and the Bay of Biscay. With its Gothic charm you can enjoy looking around this historic town at your leisure with the support of the Limitless Travel tour team. With a plethora of warm sandy beaches it's perfect for any sun worshipper. Those looking to discover Santander away from the beaches will find a city as historic as it is beautiful. The Cathedral of Santander was built between 13th and 14th centuries on top of proceeding holy buildings and combines Gothic and Romanesque architecture common for the area.
After an action packed day off ship in Santander, today is the perfect chance to sit back relax and enjoy more of the facilities on board the ship. By now the Ventura is probably starting to feel like home. If you haven't spotted it already keep your eyes peeled for the Horizon, the onboard Newspaper filled with lots of useful information to make the most of your time at sea. Here you will see daily schedules for activities, from live talks, bingo, quizzes, shows and much more, theres plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
Today we'll be dropping anchor in Porto, an interesting destination with a unique seafaring heritage. There's also plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants to enjoy, where you can soak up the laid back feel of this sun-soaked city.
However, if you would rather visit the cutting-edge architecture and winding alleyways of Porto, you can upgrade onto an escorted tour of the city. While the tour is organised and provided by P&O, our carers can join you if you're on a personal care plan, providing support and assistance along the way.
Your third stop is the postcard-perfect city of Lisbon. Capital of Portugal and one of the hottest destinations in Europe, it’s a beautiful city that boasts some of the most picturesque streets, squares and sights on the continent boasting many beautiful pastel coloured buildings. As we’re arriving, we’ll cruise past the Belem Tower, the Cristo Rei, and under the city’s impressive suspension bridge - talk about an entrance!
The Limitless Team will be on hand to help you disembark and explore the Portuguese capital. Make sure you try a traditional Portuguese custard tart and soak up the relaxed atmosphere, with so much on offer we’re sure you’ll have a brilliant day on dry land before returning to the ship in the evening.
One week into your magical cruise and we are still in the wonderful capital of Lisbon. After a joyous day on shore yesterday looking around this historic city, this morning you will have the opportunity to see any of the sights you didn't see yesterday. It is also the perfect chance to grab some souvenirs, perhaps a bottle of Ginjinha. Also known as Ginja, this is a sweet liqueur made from Morello (sour) cherries soaked in a distilled spirit called aguardente. The mixture is flavoured with sugar and spices like cinnamon. It is deceptively sweet, small, and packs a punch. A must-try while in Lisbon.
Bienvenidos a España! The fascinating town of Vigo is your first port of call. A historic maritime settlement that boasts some beautiful neoclassical architecture, Vigo is also home to Europe’s largest fishing fleet. It’s a cool and atmospheric town, where brilliant tapas bars, charming cafes and fantastic restaurants are abound.
Your cruise ship will dock only a few minutes from the palm-lined streets of Vigo’s town centre. Our carers will assist you when you disembark the ship and head out to experience your first taste of Spain. We recommend sampling some of the local seafood - it doesn’t get much fresher than this.
As the ship slowly starts heading back North today you can enjoy at your leisure the rest of the facilities the Ventura has to offer. How about heading to the Spa to enjoy a relaxing massage? Or did you know theres also a hairdressers on board! Alternatively why not head to The Metropolis. This unique venue brings you all the excitement of the world's coolest destinations. An innovative 20 metre floor-to-ceiling video wall displays dramatic cityscapes, so you might gaze 'out' upon Paris, New York or Sydney as you sip your favourite apéritif.
On the penultimate day of your holiday, the Ventura will stop off at St Peter Port in Guernsey. However, as the only way to head ashore is via the ship’s smaller tenders, it’s not always possible for Limitless guests to disembark.
Fortunately, Guernsey’s famous tax benefits extend to the Ventura, so it’s the perfect opportunity to get in some last-minute shopping and pick up a few reduced VAT items. You’ll also be able to enjoy an emptier ship and participate in activities hosted by either the P&O crew or our own Limitless Team.
After your last breakfast, we’ll help you check-out. Your bags will be taken down by the Ventura's crew and our care team will be on-hand to assist you. From here you will join the transfers back to the pick-up points, relaxed, rejuvenated and ready for your next Limitless adventure. We can’t wait to see you again!

Cruise Transfer
Included within your cruise holiday package with Limitless is a transfer from home (first 100-miles included, thereafter charged at £2.50 a mile) to the cruise ship's port. Before booking we will always make sure you have the right transfer in place to take you to the port safely and comfortably.
*Please be aware that the door to door transfer is an accessible minibus, not a private taxi, therefore we do advise guests to bring a support pillow for extra comfort if required.
