Once aboard P&O’s impressive Ventura cruise ship, you’ll have a chance to settle into your cabin, explore the ship, and meet your fellow Limitless Travellers. The Limitless Care Team is always available to provide support and ensure your holiday gets off to the best possible start.

Christmas Day at Sea

Christmas Day at sea is a special experience. With all the decks adorned with spectacular Christmas decorations and a fantastic festive feeling among passengers and crew, it's a real treat. Expect special dining menus featuring your favourite holiday foods and unforgettable, seasonally-inspired entertainment.

Limitless Travellers tend to absolutely love Christmas Day at sea. Sharing the experience with fellow guests lends it a wonderful atmosphere and ensures it's a day to remember. As always, the Limitless Team will be on hand throughout the day to provide assistance, support and fantastic company.

Port Visit

Situated along the banks of the Elbe River, 70 miles inland from Travemünde, Hamburg is Germany’s second-largest city and its most important port. As a result, it boasts a wealth of maritime heritage and a fascinating history. The city’s extensive waterways mean it’s home to over 2,300 bridges, more than Venice, London, and Amsterdam combined.

Wander around the endless landmarks in the Altstadt (Old Town) and check out the church steeples, baroque architecture and beautiful red brick buildings. Explore Hamburg’s gorgeous green spaces or get a feel for its excellent art scene in the Kunsthalle museum. One of Europe’s coolest and most underappreciated cities, Hamburg is an absolute pleasure to explore.

Port Visit

With a second day in historic Hamburg, you can choose to head back into the city and visit any attractions you missed or relax on the ship and enjoy the amenities while everything is a little quieter.

If you opt to head ashore, there is still plenty to see and do. The iconic Fischmarkt (Fish Market) is one of the city’s most beloved institutions and the perfect place to grab a delicious bite to eat. It’s particularly famous for its fish sandwiches. Inner Alster Lake is certainly worth a visit when the sun is shining, as its green shores are dotted with cafes, and boats and pedalos roam the expansive waters. Finally, there are a host of incredible architectural landmarks to enjoy, ranging from the 18th-century St. Michael’s Church to the ultra-modern Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall.

Onboard Entertainment

The Ventura is renowned for its entertainment and, with more than eight entertainment venues to choose from, you’re never lacking in things to do. The incredibly popular interactive gameshow, Wavelength, is always a hit, while the Arena Theatre shows a combination of movies and live productions throughout the day and into the night.

There’s plenty of live music, comedy, cabaret and magic to enjoy, too. The luxurious Tamarind Club always puts on a great show, while the Cuban-themed Havana Club plays those irresistible salsa rhythms and serves up refreshing mojitos. And, if you’re feeling lucky, the on-board casino awaits.

Limitless Accessible Walking Tour

One of Normandy’s most important port cities and the second-largest artificial harbour in the world, historic Cherbourg has played an influential role in northern Europe’s history. From the Norman invasion through the Hundred Years’ War to the D-Day landings, it has been key to Anglo-Franco relations for over a millennium.

Your Limitless Tour Manager will lead an optional guided walk through the city, highlighting its maritime heritage and landmarks. This includes the remains of WWII harbour defences, the marina and the town square. You’ll also have the chance to visit La Cité de la Mer, a gorgeous Art Deco museum housing a nuclear submarine and a fascinating exhibit on the Titanic. Along the way, we'll stop at a traditional cafe so the Limitless Team can treat you to a round of delicious crêpes. Whether you prefer sweet or savoury, it's a classic French snack, and your Cherbourg experience wouldn't be complete without one! If you would like to explore the city at your own pace, rather than join the guided walking tour, the town centre and marina boast a wealth of local shops and plenty of places to sample traditional French cuisine.

Port Visit

Located at the mouth of the Seine and one of France’s most important ports, Le Havre is a uniquely modern city. Almost entirely destroyed during the Second World War, it was rebuilt by modernist architect Auguste Perret. Today, Le Havre remains a testament to France's post-war love of concrete and innovative architecture, and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a result.

For Limitless Travellers, the first stop is often St Joseph's Church, which is accessible and features a breathtaking steeple. The Museum of Modern Art André Malraux is also an thrilling destination for art lovers. But many visitors will be more than happy wandering the streets, sampling the local fare at a host of excellent boulangeries and cafes, and soaking up the city’s fantastic atmosphere.

Disembark & Home Drop-Off

Following your final breakfast aboard the ship, the Limitless team will assist with check-out. The ship’s crew will take down your bags, and we’ll help you disembark, make sure you reach your pick-up, and say our farewells. Your transfer will then get you home, dropping you off at your front door.
