Day 2 - Explore Tintagel & Padstow

< >
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll get the holiday off to a great start with a visit to the beautiful Cornish village of Padstow. A popular surf spot with a historic harbour, Padstow also boasts a remarkable blend of traditional and trendy cafes. Time to tuck into some seaside treats! You’ll have plenty of time to explore the town at your own pace, then we’ll make our way over to Padstow’s volunteer-run Lobster Hatchery. Home to hundreds of young lobsters, it offers a fascinating insight into the area’s long-standing connection with the sea. If you take a shine to a particular lobster, there’s even the opportunity to adopt it! Later, we’ll treat you to a classic Cornish pasty lunch, then we’ll head back to Tintagel for the evening.

One of the UK’s top attractions, the centre is situated in an enormous, natural crater and consists of a series of large biomes that house the largest indoor rainforest in the world. You’ll have the chance to see thousands of exotic tropical plants and flowers from every corner of the globe and experience the rainforest first-hand, without ever having to leave Cornwall! A must-visit for anyone in the Southwest, this is a sensational day out!

On your final full day, we’ll be visiting one of Cornwall’s hottest holiday destinations - Falmouth. A postcard-perfect seaside town, Falmouth boasts a unique location at (you guessed it!) the mouth of the River Fal. To make the most of the breathtaking natural surroundings, we’ll be boarding a fully accessible boat for a cruise up the aforementioned river, keeping an eye out for the area’s diverse wildlife as we go. Once back on dry land, it’s time to head to the seafront and relax with a traditional Cornish clotted cream tea in one of the town’s excellent cafes.
