Everything you need to know about Kings Cross
By jayonlife.com -
Not many people know this, but there are actually TWO King's Cross stations in London.
King's Cross station is on the National Rail and takes you to different parts of the UK,
and you can even make it to Hogwarts from the 9 3/4 platform. And King's Cross St
Pancras is on the London underground, National Rail and you can take the Eurostar
from here, as well. These two massive stations are right next door to one another, and
provide a lot of accessible entertainment within such a short distance.
Kings Cross station had a huge makeover and looks completely unrecognisable, in the
best way possible. The station has a large variety of restaurants, shops and bars to enjoy
while you're waiting for your train to arrive. With the latest mod cons, it is fully
equipped with ramps, lifts and accessible toilets all around. Thankfully, not everything
had a makeover, and the 9 3/4 platform is still there to whisk you off to Hogwarts. You
can enjoy getting dressed up in Harry Potter's famous garb and take a photo with a
trolley that is already half way into the brick wall! The station is very easy to get to from
King's Cross St Pancras, which is also wheelchair accessible from the train to the street.
King's Cross St Pancras station might not be able to get you into a wizarding school, but
it can get you to other parts of the UK, and into continental Europe! You can take the
Eurostar from this delightfully accessible station to Paris, Brussels and further afield.

You can enjoy a spot of lunch while you wait, or grab something for the journey in the
little markets inside. Should you consider yourself a musical person, there's a piano
located in the station, so you can tickle the ivory keys. This station is an accessible
dream of those like myself that live in London. The underground station has many
connections to a number of lines, so it's useful even if you are not going on a trip
anywhere far from home.
Around the corner from both stations is Granary Square, at the heart of the King's Cross
area. On those rare sunny London days, you can enjoy basking in the sun and grabbing
some brunch from the many restaurants that are dotted around. Should you want to
take some photos with some big names in the tech world, the YouTube offices are
located right here. The trip from either station to the Square has a number of accessible
routes.
As mentioned, between both stations you can travel to other parts of London, the UK,
Europe and even a fantasy land! So whenever you find yourself in London, be sure to
check out King's Cross. There's so much to do here that it will definitely take more than
one trip!
