Girls just wanna have fun!

By Niamh Duffy - 17/01/2018
Girls just wanna have fun... yes Cyndi they do! Holidays are very important to me. They give you a chance to relax and unwind, explore new countries and most of all have some fun. Tenerife has always had a place in my heart and it is definitely something I want to share with you.
From the moment you land Tenerife has a magic way of completely putting your mind at ease. Spend your time relaxing by the pool or on the beach, soaking in the sun and watching the world go by. Mar y Sol, simply translated to Sun and Sea, offers just that. With two accessible pools, both with pool hoists, and access to beach wheelchairs during the summer you can take a dip to cool down or simply unwind.

The benefits of going on holiday are endless, the Mar y Sol provides that and more. Whether it is therapy, acupuncture or hot oil massages they have it covered so you can reap as many benefits as possible. How does a massage on a roof terrace overlooking the ocean sound?

Making sure I can get the care I require is important to me, but so is a holiday. With all the equipment I needed there when I opened the hotel room door it was the final stress I had gone – ready to relax, party and enjoy myself.
The beauty of Tenerife is undeniable. From coastline to mountain top, you will struggle to pick a favourite. Climb Mount Teide in style and take in the views of the island or cruise from north to south, with endless coastlines and the perfect opportunity to sample the Hispanic culture.

I'm all about that fun on holiday, for me a fun memory beats any souvenir. Fun is exactly what Elouise and I had on our weekend in Tenerife, from the moment we got off the plane. Try your hand at ballroom dancing, wheelchair gymnastics or even a bit of karaoke, the list of things to get up to is limitless.

Want to know my perfect night in Tenerife? Grab some dinner at one of the restaurants along the promenade, whether you fancy steak and chips or something more exotic there is everything on offer. Follow it up with a cocktail on the sea front and there we go. Top tip from me – if you like American food hit Tony Romas, Playa de las Americas, for the best barbeque ribs I've ever had followed up by a cocktail at Papagayo's. It's become a family tradition to watch the sunset over the bay sitting on the white sofas, reflect on what a great holiday it’s been and plan the next time everyone is free to go again.
