Upon landing into your chosen Sicilian airport, you will be met by our trusted transfer partner in the arrivals hall. Their vehicles are all fully accessible. If you are a wheelchair user, your chair can be secured into place, so you do not have to transfer from your wheelchair. The Limitless Travel team will be waiting at the hotel to greet you and to help get you settled in.
Get to know your hotel
This is a great day to get to know all about the accommodation. The complex is built around an accessible swimming pool that has been fitted with a ramp for access. If you use a wheelchair, you can enter the pool using the hotel's water wheelchairs. There is a sports area if you are feeling active, and plenty of room to lounge in the sun if you'd rather relax. In the evenings, you will be entertained by dancing, games, and a traditional Sicilian choir.
Excursion to Pozzallo
Today you have the opportunity to visit Pozzallo, which has its very own wheelchair accessible sandy beach. With a wide area of wooden decking, the beach is easily accessible to both manual and electric wheelchairs. There are also a number of cafes and bars nearby where you can try an Italian aperitif!
Visit Parco Archeologico Neapolis
Today, you might choose to visit the archeological site which is home to an impressive Greek theatre and Roman amphitheater. Dating back to the 5th century BC, this site contains a wealth of Italian and Greek history. The site has a wheelchair accessible route and there is an English audio-guide which is available for a small fee.
Excursion to Syracuse
Syracuse is home to one of the most stunning pieces of architecture in Italy - the Cathedral of Syracuse. The cathedral is formed in the late-Baroque style, and sits directly on top of the Ancient Greek temple of Athena. You can still see the Greek columns today. The Piazza Duomo has a fantastic atmosphere, and is a beautiful place to grab a cappuccino and enjoy some of Italy's finest architecture.
Ragusa is famous for its historical Old Town, which is known as Ragusa Ibla. The Duomo di San Giorgio, built in the 18th century, has been fitted with a lift for wheelchair access. The gardens are also a must-see, with beautiful arrangements lining pathways to meander along on a lazy afternoon.
Excursion to Mount Etna
Today you have the opportunity to visit the natural wonder that is Mount Etna. The highest volcano in Europe, and one of the most active in the world, Etna is an impressive sight and a fantastic day out. The excursion will take place via wheelchair accessible transport, and there will be lunch and comfort breaks along the way.
Time to say goodbye. The Limitless Travel team will be on hand to assist with check-out at the hotel, and to wave you off. Don’t worry if you are flying home late in the day – you can still use the hotel’s pool, and leave your luggage in their storage area until it is time to go.
